Description

This course provides participants with critical awareness and response strategies for active shooter and workplace violence incidents.
Topics include recognizing warning signs and behavioral indicators, lessons learned from past shootings, and understanding the dynamics of unpredictable threats. Participants will learn the DHS Run, Hide, Fight framework in detail, including evacuation decision-making, effective hiding techniques, last-resort defensive actions, and lifesaving medical response (Stop the Bleed).
The training also covers situational awareness, de-escalation strategies, the OODA Loop, and how preparedness can close the danger gap between trained and untrained responses.
