TIGAR 2025 State Director Application

The Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS® is accepting applications for REALTOR® members to represent the association at the State level by serving on the Board of Directors of the California Association of REALTORS®.

Applications will be submitted for review by the TIGAR State Director Selection Task Force. Applicants must agree to an in-person interview by the State Director Selection Task Force on August 6-7, 2024, between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Interviews will last approximately 15 minutes. Selected State Directors are appointed to a two-year staggered term. 

The qualifications to serve as a State Director, as stated in the TIGAR Policies and Procedures manual, are as follows:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the Association with no unsatisfied ethics, arbitration, or mediation decisions.
  • Must have previous REALTOR® Association experience (service on committees or task force).
  • Must be engaged full-time in a real estate-related business.
  • Must have electronic mail capabilities, presentation download capabilities, cell phone and text messaging capabilities.
  • Must attend pre-C.A.R. Director meetings within Region 15.
  • Must attend (unless excused by the President or BOD) all local or state CAR Directors’ meetings, including all assigned committee meetings, all caucus meetings, and both Directors’ sessions within the calendar year.
  • Prepare a written report, or video message, from any Committee to which appointed within two weeks of date of returning from the meetings. The State Director will be informed for which meeting(s) they will be required to provide a report. The report will be published to the membership.
  • Directors are highly encouraged to make an annual voluntary donation of at least the cost of doing business in the CAR political action fund(s).
